The orchestra giovane organises an orchestra camp each sumer since almost 30 years. During two intensive weeks, the young amateurs and students of music rehearse an advanced programm. This is performed at three concerts in different parts of Switzerland.
The up-and-coming finnish conductor Solveig Lindroos conducts this year’s project «Mambo!». The programm includes Leonard Bernsteins Symphonic Dances from «West Side Story», a debut performance titled «Pumpaj» by the Swiss composer Paula Haeni, and Igor Stravinsky’s Orchestral Suite (1919) from «the Firebird».
